My stories have been published in eMuse, Powder Burn Flash, and Ranfurley Review, and one story was a finalist for Glimmertrain’s Short Story Award. My middle-grade novella “The Pied Piper of St. May” is available in ebook and paper-back here. I recently completed a chapter book featuring a robot and three brothers – one of whom is a Korean-American adoptee – on a grand adventure on a magic train. There are also dinosaurs. If you want to find out more about the story of that story, you can subscribe to this site (the one you’re reading now) or follow me on Twitter where I am dbmcneill@Momsomniac.
I occasionally make art under the name “Buckheister”, and sometimes make art under no name at all. By day, I am an environmental chemist. By night, I sometimes turn invisible but only if I’m driving. I live with my family under the shadow of the Rocky Mountains and enjoy doing Colorado-y things like hiking and wearing socks with sandals. If I went to Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat would put me in Ravenclaw where I would become very good friends with Luna Lovegood unless I was thwarted by nargles.
